The weird wonderful world

Sometimes things do not turn out as planned.  As obvious as this is, when the evidence starts to accumulate this statement might just be the only accurate summation possible.  I have trained hard to learn my craft as an actor.  Not just talk the talk, but put on the shoes and walk in them for many miles.  So, this week I got an audition, went for it, booked it...and then got unbooked the next day.  Reason?  Wrong gender.  No apology necessary.

Was I planning on booking?  Yes.  Did anything else line up as planned?  Not even close.  What can I do? Carry on with my plan to train hard and book bigger and bigger jobs.  As for when or how?  I have a preference, but in the grand scheme of things that counts for  little.  I'll put it out there though.  I'm looking for a shot at actor gigs, principal roles, leads, guest stars and recurring series regulars.  1,2,3, audition!
